The City of Mt. Vernon is proud to welcome participants in the annual Run For The Wall motorcycle ride as they travel through the community on Tuesday, May 19. Run For The Wall is a cross-country ride honoring veterans, active military personnel, POWs, MIAs, and their families while raising awareness for those still unaccounted for from past wars and conflicts. The riders are expected to arrive in Mt. Vernon around 10:45 a.m. and will be traveling along Route 15 to the Mt. Vernon Airport for lunch before departing around 12:45 p.m. Residents should expect increased motorcycle traffic and possible temporary delays during that time.
