Loren Henry Brumley, 84, of Mount Vernon, IL, passed away on January 2, 2026 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, IL.  He was born March 20, 1941 in Mount Vernon, IL  to William George Brumley   and Lila Belle (Tolley) Brumley. Loren first married Betty Hayes on October 10, 1959 and she passed away. He later married Donna (Marlowe) Burton Brumley on December 19, 1997.

Loren is survived by his wife, Donna Brumley; children, Melody (J.D.) Scherer, John Brumley, and Andy (Brittany) Brumley; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue Steele, Jean Bradford, and Dee Jackson; brothers, Dalfy (Shirley) Brumley and Charlie (Vickie) Brumley; several nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Donna Hudran and David Burton; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and best friend, Lyle Wood.

In addition to his parents and first wife, Loren was preceded in death by his son, Tim Brumley; sisters, Elnetta Tyner and Shirley Adams; great-grandson Rylan Ashby; and stepdaughters, Kristel Burton and Kimberly Green.

Loren had a passion for guns and was part of the Goshen Trail Gun Club.

An Inurnment will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery following the cremation.
