Nona Mabel Eller, 98, of Bluford, passed away at 7:35 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2022, at Doctor’s Nursing and Rehabilitation in Salem.

She was born February 29, 1924, in Bluford, the daughter of Thomas Alfred and Katie Leota May (French) Simmons.  On May 15, 1942, in Mt. Vernon, she married Lawrence C. Eller, Jr., and he preceded her in death on August 10, 1985.  She was a member of Donoho Prairie Christian Church, and enjoyed quilting, embroidery, and needlework.

Mrs. Eller is survived by one son, Dale Eller of Bluford;  a daughter, Joyce Olmsted and husband Lloyd of Salem;  four grandchildren, Curtis Dale Olmsted and wife Bobbie, Carol Ann Meyer and husband Chris, Ryan Lawrence Wooden, and Misty Arseneau and husband Raymond;  eight great-grandchildren;  and one brother, John Simmons of Bluford.

She was preceded in death by her husband;  parents;  two sons, James Eller and Johnie Eller;  daughter, Susan Wooden;  great-grandson, Christopher Dale Arseneau;  sister, Alice Rose Fry;  daughter-in-law, Joan Marie Eller;  and sister-in-law, Rebecca Simmons.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eller will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, with Marty Mills officiating.  Burial will follow at Donoho Prairie Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m., until the hour of service, Wednesday, at the funeral home.  Memorial gifts may be made to Donoho Prairie Cemetery, and will be accepted at the service, or by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O.
