CENTRALIA, IL — A 25-year-old Centralia man was arrested over the weekend for alleged battery. Robert Gatsis remained in the Marion County Jail Sunday night on the latest charge.

He had been released from the jail on May 24th on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond for an earlier felony charge of aggravated battery of a police officer for allegedly kicking a Centralia police officer in the leg.

Judge Mark Stedelin had scheduled Gatsis, who is also known as Robert Kennicut, to next appear in court for the aggravated battery to a police officer charge on June 21 for a preliminary hearing and a first appearance with his court-appointed attorney.
