Debra Ann “Debbie” Rightnowar, 54, of Andrews, South Carolina, formerly of Wayne City, Illinois, passed away on March 26, 2021 at her residence. Debbie was born on March 30, 1966 to James and Joann Hubbard. She was introduced to her adoptive parents when she 6 years old and officially became the daughter of Larry and Beverly Rightnowar of Belle Rive, Illinois one year later.
Debbie is survived by her parents, Larry and Bev Rightnowar of Belle Rive; brothers, Brian Rightnowar and wife, Tammy of Bluford, Illinois, Mike Rightnowar and wife, Peggy of Belle Rive, David Hubbard of Collinsville, Illinois, Andy Hubbard of Carmi, Illinois, and Jeff Walters and wife, Brenda of Andrews, South Carolina; sister, Beverly Woodle of Charleston, South Carolina; nieces, Jessica Stephenson and husband, Daniel and Lindsay Rightnowar, both of Belle Rive, Lacey Gentry and husband, Rick of Woodlawn, Illinois, Hilary Dawn of Camden, South Carolina, and Kayla O’Connor of Lexington, South Carolina; nephews, Josh Rightnowar of Belle Rive, Dustin Rightnowar and wife, Ashley of Orchardville, Illinois, Levon Rightnowar of Waltonville, Illinois, and James Walters of Andrews, South Carolina; and several great-nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.In addition to her biological parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Jacob Walters; grandmothers, Ruth Rightnowar and Kathryn Whitaker; and brother, Jimbo Hubbard. Debbie was a member of Long Prairie Missionary Baptist Church.
She enjoyed volunteering in the cookshack for the Wayne City Youth Rodeo. She was avid fan of the Clemson Tigers and had found her happy place at Folly Beach, South Carolina where her ashes will be spread at a later date.
Debbie was a recent breast cancer survivor and has spent the last year living out her bucket list.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon with Reverend Merle Fullerton officiating. Visitation will be available from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm.
