Christina (Chris) Asbury Stables, age 89 of Aurora, IL and long-time resident of Mt. Vernon, IL, was born on August 21, 1931 in Gladstone, Illinois. She passed away on September 30, 2020 at Alden Courts in Aurora. Chris was preceded in death by her beloved husband John, sister Verna Pullen, brother Tom Asbury, and parents Ollie and George Asbury. John and Chris were married in November of 1955. Together they had two sons, Mark and Tom.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Graveside Service will begin at 11:00 am at the cemetery with Reverend Stacy Tate officiating. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
