Live from Cedarhurst in Mt. Vernon…It’s Thursday Night Live

MT. VERNON, IL — Thursday Night Live returns to Cedarhurst Center for the Arts tonight in Mt. Vernon. The original kickoff event for the year which is typically in June was halted because of COVID-19. This year’s party will be B.Y.O.R and B.Y.O.S, Bring Your Own Refreshments and Bring Your Own Seating.

The Greater Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce is co-hosting the event that will start at 5pm and feature music from Kat Caldwell as well as food concessions from the Elks Lodge #819. Executive Director of the Chamber Mike Beard says the new format will allow for a lot of fun despite having to abide by social distancing guidelines.

The 2020 TNL format requires a $5 cash cover charge for adults while kids 10 & under get in free. Unlike in the past when the outdoor event would move indoors if rain entered the forecast, rain now cancels the outdoor-only event. Cedarhurst will keep everyone updated via their Facebook page, @cedarhurst.
