Melissa Gail Outland, 61, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, left this world for a better place surrounded by her loved ones at 3:15 pm March 1, 2020 at Nature Trail Health Care in Mount Vernon, IL. She was born June 11, 1958 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Hubert and Verna (McKitrick) Outland.

A Visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held at Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Mr. Marty Mills Officiating. Interment will follow at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Melissa’s honor to Centralia Humane Society.
