James “Jim” Robert Carnahan, 76, of Buckner, Illinois passed away at 7:43 P.M.October 14, 2019 at Franklin Hospital in Benton, Illinois. He was born December 5, 1942 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late John Leonard Carnahan and Lena (Spann) Carnahan. He married Sharon (Eubanks) Carnahan on July 20, 1963 at the Second Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with 56 years of marriage.

A Visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 18, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 18, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home with Pastor Sammy Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at Mitchell Cemetery in Sesser, Illinois with full military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #141. Memorials may be made to the the ALS Foundation.
