Billy Bob Palmer, 92, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 2:20 P.M.October 6, 2019 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon. He was born November 4, 1926 in Mount Vernon to the late Louie and Vivian (McKitrick) Palmer. He married Barbara Jean Farmer on July 30, 1949 in Mount Vernon, Illinois and she survives in Mount Vernon.

A Visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mount Vernon with Chaplain Ernie Collins officiating. Members of the Mount Vernon American Legion Post #141 will conduct Full Military Honors at the cemetery. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made to the Turner Roehm AMVETS Post #4 or the Mount Vernon American Legion Post #141.
