Mary Lou Scarber, 87, of Cordell, Oklahoma, formerly of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away August 19, 2019 in Cordell, Oklahoma. She was born November 17, 1931 in Mount Vernon to the late Charles William and Mary N. (Henn) East. She married Oscar Eugene “Bud” Scarber on May 2, 1953 in Mount Vernon, Illinois and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1977.

A Visitation will be held Monday, August 26, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. at Sursa Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Mr. Marty Mills officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Mary’s honor to Sursa Cemetery.
