Earl Edward “Buster”  Carlson, 92, of Salem, Illinois passed away at 9:20 P.M.June 28, 2019 at Nature Trail Health Care Center in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was born October 6, 1926 in Lyons, Michigan to the late Albert and Esther (Hanson) Carlson. He married Clara H. “Toddy” Glenn on July 5, 1952 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with fifty-two years of marriage before she preceded him in death on November 13, 2004.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Chapel in Woodlawn, Illinois with Brother Jonathan Schnautz officiating. Members of the Mount Vernon American Legion Post #141 will conduct Full Military Honors at the cemetery. Interment will follow.  Memorials may be made to the Antioch Christian Church in Texico, Illinois or the SSM Health at Home Hospice.
