Sharon Kay Howard, 79, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 5:00 A.M.January 26, 2019 at Nature Trail Health Care Center. She was born September 25, 1939 in Mount Vernon to Ellsworth Creighton and Anna Bernice (Lee) Kern. Sharon married Ronald Howard in September 1959 at First United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. They were blessed with 59 wonderful years of marriage.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Hughey Funeral Home with Reverend Stacy Tate officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Sharon’s honor to Angels on Assignment or the Arthritis Foundation.
