MARION COUNTY — Bail has been set at $100,000 for a 24-year-old Iuka man arrested Wednesday night on drug and burglary charges.

Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Austin Hawley following a traffic stop.

He was arrested on a charge of residential burglary stemming from an incident in early October, and also on charges of possessing methamphetamine and possession of meth with the intent to deliver.

Hawley was formally charged Thursday morning in Marion County court with Class X felony residential burglary and in a separate case with Class X felony possession of between 100 and 400 grams of meth.

He remains in the Marion County Jail with a November 20 date scheduled for a preliminary hearing and first appearance with his court-appointed attorney.
