WEST FRANKFORT — The West Frankfort City Council passed an ordinance increasing the number of Class A liquor licenses from 10 to 15 at Tuesday night’s meeting.

The council voted to change the number of Class A liquor licenses from 10 to 15 back in November 2017, but an ordinance was never completed. The council increased the number of Class A liquor licenses just to have them available for any future businesses. An increase had not been made in quite a while and there was only one available at the time.

The council also approved quotes regarding sidewalk repairs, curb and asphalt repairs and the installation of six new LED parking lot fixtures at the West Frankfort Mall.
