Thursday’s wet weather played a role in a one-vehicle crash that injured a West Frankfort man in Williamson County.
Illinois State Police say around 6:50 a.m., Steven Sneed was driving his pickup truck south on I-57 when he lost control due to heavy rain at milepost 52.
The pickup left the roadway to the right, struck the ditch embankment and overturned. It came to rest on the passenger side off the roadway to the right.
Sneed suffered minor injuries. An ambulance took him to a local hospital.
No charges were filed.
