Jim C. Bennett, 87, passed away on February 27, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Jim was born on April 4, 1930 in Energy, Illinois, the son of the late Jesse and Slyvia (Kirby) Bennett. In 1954, he married Betty Hall, and together they were blessed with 64 years of marriage.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois.  A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Herrin City Cemetery in Herrin, Illinois.
