A 61-year-old Centralia man was sentenced Tuesday in Marion County Court to 18-months in prison after his probation was revoked on a 2017 conviction for felony criminal trespass to property when a person present.
Recardo Roberson was first convicted in the case in September and ordered to serve 2-years probation.
However, an arrest latter in the year on a separate charge for criminal trespass, resulted in a petition to revoke Roberson’s probation being filed.
He admitted to the petition and in addition to the 18 months in prison was sentenced to one-year supervised release. He will be given day-for-day good time credit on the sentence.
Roberson had earlier pleaded guilty to entering a home in the 400 block of Melrose Drive while a resident was home and then standing at the foot of the bed until he woke and both of them screamed.
Roberson had claimed he thought he had entered a friend’s home.
