James T. Griffith, 96, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 1:30 P.M. November 3, 2017 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born January 19, 1921 in West Frankfort, Illinois to the late John W. and Margaret Louise (Becker) Griffith. James married Anna Belle (Bumpus) Griffith on July 4, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. They were blessed with 75 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on July 25, 2017.

Graveside Service: Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Merle Fullerton officiating.  Interment: Hams Grove Cemetery in Opdyke, Illinois.
