Christmas is right around the corner and the Centralia Police Department has started their annual Shop with a Cop fundraiser.

According to volunteers for Shop with a Cop, without help from the community many disadvantaged area children won’t have much to celebrate.

The Shop with a Cop program purchases toys and clothing for a record number of needy local children each year.

Last year they purchased items for over 150 children and would like to be able to purchase for more children this year.

They will be mailing out fliers to residents and businesses in the area but you don’t need to receive a flyer to donate.

If you would like to make a donation of any amount, you can drop it off at the Police Department or mail it in to: Centrhalia FOP, PO Box 1301, Centralia, IL 62801
