Laura Myers, of Greenville, has announced she’ll be seeking the GOP nomination for the 107th district State Representative seat being vacated by Republican John Cavaletto, of Salem. Myers currently works for the Illinois Department of Corrections and grew up in Bond County.
This makes two candidates vying for the Republican nomination for the 107th district House seat, with Blaine Wilhour of Fayette County being the other candidate.
Two other candidates have withdrawn from the race.
