The U of I Extension Office is partnering with the Mount Vernon Community Gardens to host an event for those interested in gardening or just a family wanting to have a fun afternoon together.
The “Picker Treat” event is scheduled for Saturday, October 28th from 1-3pm at the Mount Vernon Community Gardens in Veteran’s Park.
Garden Operations Manager Eric Gockel (GO-KULL) says the event will have plenty of activities for kids to have a great time.
U of I Extension Program Coordinator Chris Lueking (LOU-KING) says she hopes “Picker Treat” will bring about interest in the Community Gardens for years to come.
