Carbondale Police are looking for a suspect involved in an early morning shooting Sunday.
Police say 27-year-old Terrance J. Curtis of Carbondale is wanted on a warrant charging him with aggravated battery of a firearm. His bond has been set at $500,000. Police say Curtis should be considered armed and dangerous.
Around 2:30 a.m., police were in the area of the 400 block of West Cherry Street when they heard several gunshots. Officers quickly found a man who had been shot. He was taken by ambulance to the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for treatment. He was eventually taken to a St. Louis area hospital. Police say Curtis was acquainted with the victim. The victim’s name was not released.
