(MCLEANSBORO, IL) — The Hamilton County Unit 10 School Board recently approved student fees for next school year. The district’s registration free will stay at $30 while fees for dual credit, driver’s education and other courses will not change. However, prices for breakfast and lunch will go up by 25 cents. Younger students who participate in athletics will now have to pay an athletic participation fee. Athletes in first through fourth grade will pay $15 while fifth and sixth graders will pay $25. District Superintendent Jeff Fetcho told the McLeansboro Times-Leader the additional funds will support the needs of the program. The district will also seek bids for fuel, cafeteria supplies and food products for the upcoming year. Bids will be due back in late June or early July for approval at the July meeting.
