(CENTRALIA, IL) — The Centralia Police Department reports that their officers have arrested a juvenile male subject Friday for allegedly exposing himself to another juvenile. According to a press release, the juvenile suspect was driving a white van and had followed and then exposed himself to another juvenile that was walking home from school. However, after conducting an investigation police do not believe this case is related to two other reports of a male subject trying to lure children into his vehicle as they were walking home from school. According to Centralia Police Lt. Greg Dodson, there have been no additional instances reported at this time, but CPD officers are continuing saturated patrols around the grade schools during the morning and afternoon hours when children are walking to and from school. The Centralia Police Department is also having its School Resource Officer conduct the National Crime Prevention Council program “What to Tell Kids about Strangers” at all area schools. The Centralia Police Department asks anyone with any information relating to this incident to contact them immediately.
