(MT. VERNON, IL) —  Sheriff Allen, Deputies and Detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27 year old Britin L White, of  Mt. Vernon on Friday. At approximately 4:20pm, while conducting an investigation on a previous reported theft, JCSO authorities responded to a residence on North Taft Lane in Mt. Vernon. White was taken into custody on Jefferson County Warrant for Failure to Appear on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance. White was additionally charged with possession of drug equipment and possession of a controlled substance. White was transported to the Jefferson County Justice Center where he currently awaits the posting of bond and the setting of his court date. An investigation continues on the theft report. White is presumed innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
