(BENTON, IL) — Two Benton residents were recently arrested on methamphetamine charges. According to Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones, 32-year-old John P. Ferris and 23-year-old Alicia F. Hopkins have both been charged with possession of methamphetamine. The arrest happened at a home in rural Benton around 6:50 p.m. Thursday. The sheriff says the investigation continues. More arrests and charges are anticipated.
