Dr. Richard Schenk, 67, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 11:15 A.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 9, 2017 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois, with Chaplain Jeff Stewart & Mr. Mike Sheets officiating.  Burial will follow at Jordan Chapel Cemetery in Dix, Illinois.
