(CENTRALIA, IL) — A 35-year-old white male was found lying dead in a Centralia parking lot late Monday night. Marion County Coroner Troy Cannon pronounced the man dead at 11:47 p.m. of an apparent overdose. Centralia police received a call from a person saying they found the man lying in a parking lot just southwest of SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, and that he was not breathing. Centralia police and Lifestar EMS responded to the report and quickly called for the coroner. Cannon says an autopsy is not planned, but biological samples will be tested for toxicology. The man’s name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
