JACK STERLING TANNER, 62, of Bonnie passed away Saturday Dec. 31, 2016. He was born in Mt. Vernon, IL on June 8, 1954, the son of Earl Ishmael & Myrtle (Baltzell) Tanner. He married Lynette Mannen on May 19, 1990. Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman, and an   accomplished photographer.  He worked at Continental Tire for 34 years.  Jack enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada.  He coached Pee Wee Basketball at Ina Grade School for several years.  He loved his grandchildren, especially spending time with them, and they loved their Paw Paw Jack.  Jack was a very generous person and had a heart of gold.  He always had his McDonald’s styrofoam cup, his RAX mug and his black comb. Jack is survived by his: Wife: Lynette Tanner of Bonnie, Mother: Myrtle Crider of Carrier Mills, Daughter: Blair Lowery & husband John of Woodlawn, Grandchildren: Gracie & Hudson and another grandson to be born in June, Brother: Joe Earl Tanner & wife Nan of Creal Springs, Father-in-law & Mother-in-law: Pete & Ruby Timmons of Mt. Vernon, Sisters-in-law & Brothers-in-law: Sheila & Gary Ison of Racine, Wisconsin, Dwight & Cindy Timmons of Mt. Vernon, Randy & Brenda Timmons of Scheller, Mark & Bobbi Jo Timmons of Jacksonville, Stacey & Rick Weatherford of Woodlawn, Many nieces & nephews & great nieces & great nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his Father & by a Son: Matthew Mannen. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. THURSDAY , January 5, 2017 at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with Randy Sells officiating.  Burial will be in Hams Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina.
