(MT. VERNON, IL) — A Southern Illinois man is looking for a Good Samaritan who came to his wife’s aid following a December 13th head-on crash on Route 37 in Marion. Robert Fulk Jr., says in his Facebook post that a generous woman placed a Christmas quilt on his wife as she was lying on the freezing ground following the crash, and he would like to personally thank the woman and return her quilt. Fulk’s wife, Sydelle Fulk was headed northbound on Route 37 in a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe December 13 when she was struck head-on by a 2010 GMC Acadia being driven southbound by 77-year-old Virgie Pauline Baker. Both women were seriously injured in the crash and were taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center for their injuries. If you know the identity of the woman who went to Fulk’s aid, you’re asked to contact her husband Robert at 618 534-8779.
