SALEM — A 21-year-old Salem man has been released from the Marion County Jail after he was arrested late Thursday night for allegedly firing a gun into the air outside a Salem fast food restaurant.
Quintin D. Goostree was arrested by Salem police for alleged reckless discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a firearm.
According to reports, Goostree walked outside the McDonald’s restaurant around 9:53 p.m. Thursday and fired to rounds a handgun into the air and left.
Police responded to the scene and located shell casings on the parking lot from a 45 caliber weapon.
Goostree was later located in an apartment at Mills Crossing Apartment Complex and a 45 caliber handgun was seized as evidence. He was taken to the Marion County Jail around 11:38 p.m., but was later released.
