Washington County — A single vehicle accident on US Highway 51, just 300 feet north of Interstate 64 left two people injured on Friday afternoon.

Illinois State Police Reports indicate that 72-year-old James K. Conway was southbound on Highway 51 whenever his Ford F-150 left the roadway and struck the ditch bank. Conway and his passenger 73-year-old Sandra D. Conway were both taken to SSM Health/St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia with non-life threatening injuries.

Charges are still pending at this time.
