(Madison Co., IL) — A Granite City man faces between 45 and 85 years in prison after being convicted of murdering a 13-year-old boy. A Madison County jury took only a half-hour today to return a guilty verdict against Laroyce McFadden for the 2013 killing of Clayton Veninga. McFadden will remain in custody at the Madison County Jail pending sentencing, which won’t be handed down until after the first of the year.
