(HARRISBURG, IL) — The U.S. Forest Service in Southern Illinois is prepared to head to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to offer support after a massive wildfire spread on Monday. Three people in separate locations were killed by the wildfires and more than 250 buildings in and near the resort towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge were destroyed. The park service is hoping to send three to 12 people as crews whenever help is requested.
