(MT. VERNON, IL) — A 24-year-old Mt. Vernon woman was charged Monday in Jefferson County Court with Class 3 felony aggravated battery using a deadly weapon and misdemeanor resisting a peace officer. Bail was set at $30,000 for Brittanie Keith. She was arrested Sunday by Mt. Vernon police and was taken to the Jefferson County Jail, where she remained Monday night.
