(MT. VERNON, IL) — A public meeting regarding the proposed plans for the renovation of the former armory will be held on tonight at 6 p.m. in the Rolland W. Lewis Community Building in Mt. Vernon. The public is encouraged to attend to hear about the plans for the new multi-purpose recreational facility. A grant was reinstated for the project this summer. A presentation will be made at this meeting regarding the background of the project and the plans for the facility once construction is completed.
