(MT. VERNON, IL) — Union Pacific Railroad has announced an upcoming road closure for railroad crossing repair. On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, Union Pacific will close the railroad crossing on Woodland Drive in Mt. Vernon, starting at 6 am to all through traffic while they repair the crossing. Motorists including those who work at Continental Tire are asked to make arrangements and use alternate routes during the closure.
