(MURPHYSBORO, IL) — A 26-year-old Murphysboro man is being sought in connection with a shooting incident early Monday morning that sent two to the hospital with injuries. Juwan K. Jackson is wanted on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm, armed violence, and unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver. A warrant has been issued for Jacksons’ arrest.  According to police, when they arrived at a home in the Shomaker Drive area around 1:30 Monday morning, they discovered an individual had been shot in the head. That person was transported to an area hospital before being transferred to a St. Louis area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Another person was also injured in the shooting, but was taken by private vehicle to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
