James W. “Jim” Hayes, Sr., 78, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 1:37 A.M., Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Friday, October 28, 2016 at East Salem Missionary Baptist Church, with Reverend Randy Hayes and Mr. Randy Sells officiating.  Burial will follow at East Salem Cemetery.
