(Granite City, IL) — Authorities in Granite City are saying a man who was struck and killed by an SUV Monday night had just been thrown out of a bar. Madison County Coroner Stephen Nonn says 44-year-old Willie Shores of Arkansas died at about ten-forty of head and chest injuries outside the Champion Sports Bar and Grill. Nonn says Shores had been ejected from the bar and was seen walking away, but turned to face the bar and stepped into the path of oncoming traffic.
