(CARBONDALE, IL) — A Carbondale man is set to appear in Jackson County Court today charged in connection with the homicidal death of 39-year-old Robin Steif of Mt. Vernon.  Twenty-five-year-old Robert J. Dennis was arrested Friday by Carbondale Police and charged with one count of concealment of a homicidal death. He is lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $500,000 bond. Carbondale Police and firefighters went to the 900 block of East Main Street in reference to an active fire just after 8 a.m. on Aug. 30.  Firefighters were able to put out the fire and found the burnt remains of Steif’s body behind the Midas shop in Carbondale. Stief, who formerly lived in Salem, had been reported missing just days earlier by her family. Police also arrested last week 22-year-old Tiesha D. Anderson of Collinsville and charged her with concealment of a homicidal death in the case. She’s being held on $750,000 bond with her next court appearance set for Nov. 3.
