(MT. VERNON, IL) — A friendly reminder from the office of the Mt. Vernon City Clerk, that with the election season upon us candidates for political office should be reminded that campaign signs throughout the city must be kept off of the public right-of-way’s. The signs are to be placed behind sidewalks or power poles. In the event there are no sidewalks or power poles, signs should be positioned 6 feet from the edge of the roadway.
