MARION, Ill. (AP) — A new terminal at the Williamson County Regional Airport, a project stalled this summer, will be complete by next month but not occupied. Doug Kimmel is manager of the Marion airport. He tells the (Carbondale) Southern Illinoisan he’d hoped to have the current terminal removed by Veterans Day for a grand opening. Kimmel says the state budget debacle was “an unwarranted interruption” that cost several weeks of construction time.
