(MARION, IL) — The Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department has launched a website that will help those living with a respiratory illness prepare themselves to protect their health in extended power outages. The “BREATHE” website is at www.BreathEasyIL.org. The website provides information and resources to three groups – people who rely on power-operated medical equipment, home medical equipment companies/providers and community emergency planners. With September heralding national preparedness month, the health department urges all residents in southern Illinois to take action now by reviewing and utilizing BREATHE resources which includes a planning worksheet. You can find this and more on the website. If you have any questions, call the health department at 618.993.8111, Ext. 212.
