DU QUOIN, Ill. (AP) — A group of local celebrities will kick off this year’s Du Quoin State Fair with a cow-milking contest. Officials said Tuesday that the inaugural Moo Moo Classic is scheduled for Thursday at the fairgrounds in Southern Illinois. The celebrity who can get the most milk from a dairy cow in three minutes will be declared the winner. Among the contestants are State Fair Manager Kevin Gordon and state Rep. Terri Bryant. The fair begins Friday and runs through Sept. 5.
