(Venice, IL) — Police in the Metro East and officials with OSHA are investigating a workplace death. Authorities say a man became trapped under a coil at the Custom Steel Processing a plant in Venice around eight o’clock Friday morning. The giant coils are moved by crane and one of them fell as the man was moving it. The only information released about the victim is that he is a Granite City resident.
