(NASHVILLE, IL) — A single vehicle crash on Interstate 64 early Friday morning resulted in two fatalities. 20-year-old Chelsea Dunn of Mt. Vernon and 19-year-old Wilyssa Moore of Mt. Vernon were pronounced dead on the scene of the accident at Mile Post 54 in Washington County. The driver of the vehicle, 31-year-old Zacchaues Williams of St. Louis, was airlifted to a regional hospital and is described as being in serious condition. A fourth occupant of the vehicle, 30-year-old Jessica McSwain of Mt. Vernon, was transported to a local hospital by ambulance and is in good condition. According to the Illinois State Police, Williams was driving eastbound on I-64 around 1 a.m. this morning when his vehicle left the right side of the road for an unknown reason and struck a tree. McSwain was the only occupant of the vehicle wearing a seatbelt. Williams has been charged with No Valid Driver’s License, Improper Lane Usage and Driving Under the Influence.
