(CARLYLE, IL) — A Carlyle man is facing five felony counts after allegedly striking a toddler and strangling another individual. 35-year-old James McDonald was charged with the counts after an incident that was alleged to have occurred earlier this week. Prosecutors charged McDonald with two Class 2 felony counts of aggravated domestic battery, two Class 3 felony counts of aggravated battery, and one Class 4 felony count of unlawful restraint. Judge William Becker set bond at $25,000.
