(SALEM, IL) — Bail has been set at $150,000 for a 32-year-old rural Odin man arrested Friday on multiple criminal charges related to items reportedly found at his home during the execution of a search warrant. Jessie Wiese was formally charged Tuesday in Marion County Court with Class 1 felony residential burglary, two counts Class 3 felony for being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of less than 5-grams of meth, as well as Class 2 felony disposal of meth manufacturing waste. Wiese wasn’t home Friday when sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant on his home, but was later arrested at the home of a relative. Deputies allegedly found items taken during a burglary of a Soper Road home in rural Odin, other items believed taken in that burglary are still missing. The home owner had reported a number of guns and cash were taken in the burglary. Deputies also reported finding less than 5-grams of meth and a burn pile with items used in the manufacture of meth. Wiese was arrested last month for allegedly pointing a gun at an employee of Rob’s Custom Auto Repair on Green Street Road and threatening to kill him if he ever saw a particular woman again. He was released on $150 bond, but has not yet been charged in that incident at the Marion County State’s Attorney’s Office was reviewing the case.
